Caye Caulker is 17 miles off the coast of the Belize mainland, 1 mile from the second largest barrier reef in the world. The island is small, with sandy streets, no cars, and a slow laid back lifestyle. The Caribbean waters lap on the sandy shore and the palm trees sway to the tune of the tradewinds in a slow lazy way! It is also known at La Isla Carinosa - which means 'Friendly Island'.
